Five-star Texas CB Denver Harris delays decision reveal

The mystery surrounding the nation's No. 2-ranked cornerback will continue at least through Saturday night.

Denver Harris, a five-star cornerback from the Houston area, will sign privately this week, according to Sam Khan Jr. Harris will reveal his decision on Saturday after Galena Park (Texas) North Shore's Class 6A Division I state championship game against Duncanville. The game is set for 3 p.m. CT at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Harris is considering Texas A&M, Alabama, Texas and LSU. The Aggies have garnered momentum in the ladder stages of Harris' recruitment and he was back in College Station over the weekend for an official visit.

Alabama has been a leader for the five-star cornerback at other junctures in his recruitment and there have been rumblings about Harris possibly delaying his decision. However, sources indicate Harris will sign this week and enroll early at his university of choice.

Both LSU and Texas have worked feverishly to make a push for Harris as we approach the finish line of this Early Signing Period.
